My story
I wasn’t always passionate about leading a healthy vegan lifestyle.
I used to work in the corporate world and lived a sedentary lifestyle. I was overweight. I rarely got enough sleep or exercise. My job was stressful and I often worked long hours. My diet mostly consisted of takeaway and processed foods.
I thought I was invincible, but eventually my health deteriorated. My frustration grew as I battled chronic illness and fatigue. I had some good days, but mostly I was exhausted. I couldn’t work any more.
So I did something radical — I changed my lifestyle. I went vegan, started exercising and went back to university to learn more about leading a healthy lifestyle. I lost weight, my health improved and I discovered I had lots of energy. I also learnt about how our lifestyle choices can impact the lives of animals and the environment, and I decided I’d be vegan for life!
