The Essentials of Vegan Nutrition workshop was interesting and the information presented was concise, relevant and current. It’s a good way for non-vegans to get a broad range of information in a short amount of time, and gain an understanding that yes, it is possible to get enough protein, iron, calcium, vitamin D, and more from a vegan diet. A good refresher for people who are already vegan – there’s always more to learn!
I also loved hearing people’s stories of how they began their vegan journey, whether for the animals, health or environmental reasons. And it was good to make contact with other like-minded people who are out there following their passion and making a difference.
